Casting Shadows

Casting Shadows

Night, night casting shadows

Awake, spinning outside

            barefoot

Stars sprinkle dust

Moon at half mast

With Shadowland

          the other half

Digging deep in the mind

Burrowing in the pain

Outstretched hands

Digging into her belly

          Wombless

Feeling the light of the stars

Beating on  her chest

Begging the light to revive her torn heart

And torn parts

I went to a meeting yesterday considering a place on a panel of other artists, it was quite educational and enjoyable.   I plan on volunteering to jury other artists applying to sell their wares at the 23rd Street ArtistsMarket, in Austin, TX.  The Market has been around since the 1970s. It has much historical and artistic value to the citizens, and local artists.  I am thrilled to be a part of this!  More soon
