Killing Fields

Killing Fields

Will this kill us
Wanting, to know.
It all seems senseless
I want to know
Define:
How this happened?
Burnt earth is happening
Soon

Killing fields are
The ways of man
who have no clutching
of their gut
Women who hold
their stomachs deep feelings in
Their wombs from
where life springs.

We [women] know how awful
And are not
distracted by greed
Whole,
Holes
Bullets fly in the air
Who holds
The guns?

Dark Angel

Dark Angel

She crosses the lines

And thin boundaries

In the effort to disguise

The spirited dust

Behind her eyes

That so blinded

Just for a time, held

An embrace of

the darkening sky

Held deep,

no definition of clouds

Clear air blows in the

Feelings, stirring up

She breathes deeply

Sucking the air right out

of your chest

when she

looks at you,

choking, the corruption

Of the tissues

the self

For Day 9 – January 9th 2017

For Day 9 – January 9th 2017

alphonzo[another day late poem]

Weathering the storm
Watching
The killing of a democracy

While easy enough for
Elected officials who
Do not listen to their
Constituents

[Resistance is a popular
Movement]
It is all the hope
People are strong
Enough to do
so

Day 7 January 7th, 2017

Day 7 January 7th, 2017

Round about
a way
Not straight
true north
Nor west

Places that never
belong to anyone
Well, they should
not belong to anyone

They need to be free
As we need to be free
Not encumbered

She smiled, with
her blue eyes bright
As she twirled
a bit of her hair

Uncertainty

From deep within

Layers of Euphemia

delicate like a woven silk

Aging parchment

Covers hide scars

Of pain,

weighty desires

of peace

She wanders

Tracing maps

Fingertips

framing out

new places

in her disturbed

mind

to go

Day 5 January Poetry “Red”

Day 5 January Poetry “Red”

John Reed
Words Marked in Red

Red dahlia ranunculus
Are fussy in the front hall
But there it was in all it’s glory
Red

Reds
A Communist or Socialist
A revolution at a time people
arrested trying to get rights
For Labor Unions

Red tides
Have we reached
into the same bucket of time
For Dissent?
A matter for rich or the poor
People need to take action
It begs the question
How and what
Nonviolent tactics the best
Red

Day 4 January Neegan “I will shut that shit down.”

Day 4 January Neegan “I will shut that shit down.”

Day 4, January 2017 Poetry

Neegan: “I will shut that shit down.”
“…it sucks that moment you realize you know nothing.”

I lit sage
Walking through the dwelling.
Winding my arms around
smoke billowing, cleansing out
all the negative energy in this space.
I want all this transitory shit
outta here;
I will resist
